Portofino

Portofino sits on a peaceful stretch of beach on the northern portion of Ambergris Caye, just 15 minutes from San Pedro by boat. The resort is located near some of the best restaurants (including Portofino's own Le Bistro) and spas on the island.

Portofino is an intimate resort featuring excellent personalized service for all guests, including complementary shuttle service by boat from the San Pedro Airport, free boat service to and from San Pedro throughout each day, room service, and drink service extending to the beach and pier.

Portofino offers eight beach cabanas with clear and unobstructed Caribbean views, along with three Tree Top suites that feature beautiful views over the sea. Cabanas include queen beds, a lovely Latin American decor, spacious bathrooms, and a deck with chairs and hammocks overlooking the beach.

The spacious suites are elevated ten feet in the air on Sapodilla wood legs. Each features a king bed and stunning views through large picture windows. Suites also include a sitting area, a large bathroom, and a full balcony.

Ambergris Caye offers a number of exciting water-based adventures including sport fishing and boating excursions. With one of the largest barrier reefs in the world, the country is also known for spectacular diving and snorkeling.

You can also take a day trip to mainland Belize and enjoy a number of jungle tours including cave tubing and trips to Mayan ruins. The famous Belize Zoo is just a short trip from shore and features a large collection of local mammals and birds.
